The Role
The Science & Technology Process Scientist will play a critical role for global R&D to drive successful development & scale-up of new process / technology, optimization of existing processes, management of critical processing risk for new products development and provide technical support to factories with an emphasis on concentrates This also includes leveraging external research providers and cross-segment collaborations.
Requirements Qualifications
- BSc / MSc in food / chemical - Engineering, Technology or Science discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in food related technologies. Experience should include process development and scale-up.
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale-up key new technologies and processes to enable the S&T pipeline strategy.
- Optimize and improve existing technologies to provide new product capability, higher product quality, and / or improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and execute the trial plan and risk management process for new process development and implementation.
- Partner with Product Sciences and manage critical processing risks to ensure a seamless implementation from new product concept to production.
- Drive development of process specifications and translation into engineering design.
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams responsible for innovation projects from concept to execution.
- Represent Process Development & Optimization in various multi-disciplinary teams / projects to ensure all processing & technology considerations are met..
- Provide process and product support to the Manufacturing sites through an intimate technical knowledge of process- product interactions.
