Description
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for developing and implementing behavior support plans in collaboration with clients, families, and stakeholders.
They provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention when necessary, while also offering individualized support and behavioral interventions to improve social, daily living, and communication skills.
BCBA's facilitate group meetings and trainings, conduct assessments, and monitor progress through data collection, ensuring interventions align with Positive Behavior Strategies (PBS).
Additionally, they may offer support in multiple languages and provide guidance to families and caregivers on managing challenging behaviors through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
This is a newly created role to support individuals living at home that would otherwise qualify for a residential / group home placement.
The Board Certified Analyst will provide in home supports to adults with ID / DD with the support of Ascentria, partner providers, DDS, and most importantly the family.
This position will require patience and flexibility to meet the needs of not only the individual but family in his / her private home
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement behavior support plans in collaboration with people served, families, and other applicable stakeholders.
- Provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention as needed.
- Provide and / or model the provision of individualized support and behavioral interventions to enhance social, daily living and communication skills and increase successful interactions at home and in the community.
- Develop and implement plans that will increase coping skills and overall satisfaction with daily living
- Provide training, consultation and coaching to staff, families, and stakeholders.
- Attend facilitate, and / or participate in 1 : 1 and group meetings and trainings as assigned.
- Conduct annual and periodic clinical assessments of people served and utilize information gained to establish or update behavior support plans as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related field
- Current Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Massachusetts (BCBA / LABA)
- Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills required.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history
