Qualifications :
- Current, unrestricted Louisiana Driver’s License.
- Current, unrestricted Chauffeur's License in the State of Louisiana
- Current CPR certification
- Previous CNA experience in a hospital preferred
- Previous maintenance in medical / hospital environment
- Knowledge and some experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, fire suppression systems, transportation equipment and other hospital equipment
Job Duties :
- Provides safe patient transportation to and from the Inpatient, Outpatient, Wound Care facilities as scheduled in company provided van
- Maintains communication with facility staff regarding schedule and location throughout the day.
- Ensures patients and other passengers are safely in the vehicle and are using safety belts prior to driving vehicle to next destination.
- Follows all traffic safety laws and vehicle safety guidelines.
- Ensures that vehicle received regular maintenance per schedule and completed vehicle safety checks.
- Performs a variety of duties in support of interior and exterior building maintenance
- Assists with repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fire suppression systems, medical equipment, transportation equipment, and any other hospital equipment as needed.
- Perform day to day housekeeping activities in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and / or the Director of Housekeeping
- Assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner
