Under the leadership of the Director of Finance, this position will provide tax and regulatory compliance services to the partnership including partner income and deduction allocations.
After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Reviews and files most federal, state, and local tax information, including but not limited to partnership income tax returns, estimates, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, tax credits, unclaimed property, property tax, retirement and welfare plans, registrations, and fees.
In some cases, responsible for the preparation of tax forms related to the Firm’s filing requirements.
- Researches and documents tax positions.
- Prepares all supporting documentation and calculations relating to the annual tax filings by external CPA firm.
- Administers and applies Pass Through Entity Tax elections and related charges to individual partners.
- Reviews details of the federal and state tax returns, as well as sales and use tax returns.
- Prepares monthly Partner income allocation.
- Calculates Partner Profit Sharing and 401(k) contributions.
Required Experience and Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years of tax experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant licensure.
