JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the COO, the Vice President, Information Technology, will lead our IT strategy, initiatives, and operations ensuring the effective delivery of technology solutions to support the enterprise’s mission and objectives.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

In addition, the VP, IT will work closely with the Legal and Compliance team to conduct risk assessments as well as operationalize cybersecurity policies, procedures and controls to protect sensitive data and IT assets from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Technical

• Oversee the management and optimization of our cloud-based infrastructure, primarily utilizing Microsoft Azure services.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our IT systems and applications.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the acquisition, deployments, and lifecycle management of IT equipment, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Oversee the configuration, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software assets to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance on equipment selection and standardization to support interoperability and scalability of IT infrastructure.
• Lead the assessment and implementation of generative AI solutions to drive insights and decision-making to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Strategic

• Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to our industry and recommend strategic investments.

Communication / Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and preferences, ensuring that IT solutions align with customer needs and expectations while also optimizing the use of information technology.
• Lead initiatives to enhance the user experience across IT systems and applications, focusing on usability, accessibility, and responsiveness.
• Develop and implement training programs and user documentation to empower customers to effectively utilize IT tools and resources.
• Communicate IT strategy, priorities, and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Vendor Management and Partnerships

• Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing terms to ensure value and alignment with organizational goals.
• Evaluate and select new vendors and partners to support our evolving IT needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree a plus.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role within IT, preferably in the healthcare or non-profit sector.
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-based infrastructure management, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with implementing AI and data analytics solutions, including generative AI algorithms.
• Excellent strategic planning and execution skills, with a track record of driving digital transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Location within the Greater Boston area is preferred.

• Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
• Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position own position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
• Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
• Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.
