Job : Litigation Paralegal
Location : West Palm Beach, FL 33401
Duration : Full time
Responsibilities :
Litigation : Help file Complaints and assist with civil litigation cases.
Finalize / file pleadings, motions and documents, and then file them with the court
Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize and review exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Enter time in billing programs
- Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal / legal assistant
- Personable, dedicated, and able to work well with clients
- E-filing portal experience, including PACER
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
- Highly organized and independent with ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills along with attention to detail
- Extensive computer and database expertise, including Adobe Acrobat and Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
