Job Description
The primary function of a Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) is to appropriately and accurately verify and process requests from outside sources in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and be able to follow polices and HIPPA regulations. The MRC must also be comfortable learning different EMR systems.
Candidates will be part of a fast-paced team environment working with law firms, subpoena companies, and doctor offices.
Job details :
- Review, maintain, audit records request in a timely manner.
- Maintain HIPPA compliance and client confidentiality.
- Ensure that records & invoices are received, paid, approved, and documented.
- Work closely with team and communicate the status of requests and records thoroughly and efficiently.
- Proficient phone and telecommunication skills.
- Monitor and respond to multiple inboxes.
- Scan / upload patient information into corresponding EMR system.
- Minimum : 1 year of medical records experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- EMR experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Preferred : PI experience.
