Job Description : Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a meticulous and experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, compliance, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll for our clients, handling payroll queries, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time.
- Ability to process weekly prevailing wage jobs to certifiy weekly payroll for union employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and benefits.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing.
- Provide support during audits and other compliance activities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software LCP Tracker, DIR, Elations, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Pay : $30 - $35 per hr.
