Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Health Sciences invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position.
Qualifications Minimum Required Education A doctorate degree (e.g. Dr.P.H. or Ph.D.) in Epidemiology, preferably from a CEPH-accredited institution or a M.
D. with an MPH degree in Epidemiology. Minimum Required Experience
- Experience or expertise in social or epidemiological research.
- Experience in teaching epidemiology courses, such as infectious disease epidemiology, and related topics.
- Experience in utilizing statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA.
- Experience and publications using secondary databases.
Minimum Required Licenses and / or Certifications None required. Qualifications
- Qualifications for an appointment as a tenure-track faculty at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
- Demonstrate a track record of scholarly publications (appropriate to academic rankings).
- Demonstrate a track record of extramural funding (appropriate to academic rankings).
- Familiar with educational technologies and innovative learning.

- Deliver quality standards and research-based instruction to graduate students using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery formats.
- Ensure appropriate curriculum design and program evaluation according to the Council on Education and Public Health.
- Mentor and supervise students during doctoral practicum and master internship.
- Provide academic advisement for students to ensure on time program completion and graduation.
- Engage in scholarly activities leading to the execution of quality research.
- Engage in scholarly service activities to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
