OverviewCredence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a leader with a long history of direct client engagements with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
This role is to both grow the firm’s portfolio with the CDC, and to serve as the Program Manager for major requirements that support the CDC’s global health and emergency preparedness and response missions.
This role is idea for an individual with a strong background in actively supporting CDC’s programs, either with from government contracting industry, or as a CDC official.
The candidate should demonstrate a deep understanding of the CDC’s programs in public health readiness and response, global health, and the technology and data initiatives that support these and other CDC programs.
Domain expertise in CDC’s mission areas and relationships with these programs are key. This role includes responsibility for engaging client relationships with the CDC, and identifying new contract opportunities.
- Program management responsibilities include the oversight of the implementation of a contract that supports the CDC’s Office of Readiness and Response (ORR) including the Public Health Management Support;
- Administrative, Financial, Technical, Management, and Program Logistical Support; Health Communication, Technical Writing, and Editing;
Scientific and Medical Assistance; and Project Management Support Services. The Program Manager will work closely with CDC staff, partner organizations, and contractors to ensure that all services performed are of the highest quality and meet the needs of the ORR and other CDC centers in the event of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Oversee the implementation of the contract and ensure that all services performed meet the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) Work closely with partner organizations and contractors to ensure that all deliverables are of the highest quality and meet the needs of the OPHPR and other CDC centers Establish and maintain effective working relationships with CDC staff, partner organizations, and contractors Manage all aspects of the contract, including budget, schedule, and performance of all services Provide regular reports to CDC management on the status of the contract Ensure that all services are conducted in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies Work with CDC staff to identify areas of improvement and recommend changes as necessary to improve the effectiveness of the BPA and ensure that it meets the needs of CDC and its partnersEducation, Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare management, business administration or a related field required.
Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in managing programs and contracts in the public health or healthcare field.
Experience with emergency response activities, such as EOC activations, is preferred. Experience managing large budgets and multiple contracts.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of an organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of public health preparedness and response strategies and principles.
