Position Responsibilities
- Collect and integrate construction progress data from field staff, relevant submittals, RFIs, PCOs, and DCRs to update the project schedule.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain CPM (Critical Path Method) construction schedules, which may include cost and / or resource allocation.
- Examine float paths and critical activities to prepare attachments and appendices for progress update reports.
- Generate and review the Differences Report for progress updates.
- Incorporate payment requisition information and feedback from owners into the P6 Schedule.
- Collaborate with project team members to perform regular schedule updates, maintenance, and "what-if" scenario analysis.
- Develop and integrate change management sub-schedules into the master schedule, conducting analyses to evaluate schedule gains and losses.
- Review, analyze, and prepare reports on change management for time extension requests.
- Prepare management reports, pay applications, identify controlling and driving activities, and perform delay analyses to determine causes of schedule slippage and create recovery plans.
- Develop lookahead schedules, cash flow projections, and manpower curves.
- Facilitate planning meetings to review lookahead schedules with field staff, incorporate feedback, and distribute updated schedules to stakeholders.
- Lead schedule-related discussions and presentations in relevant meetings.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of construction scheduling experience on active projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling and schedule analysis using Primavera P6.
- Prior scheduling experience in heavy civil, highway, or rail transit projects is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of planning and scheduling systems, principles, and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with strong time management skills, able to work independently and collaborate as needed.
- Additional certifications are a plus, including Oracle Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals, OSHA 10, PSP, PMI, PE.
