Laboratory Assistant - Anchor Point Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $17.33#- $25.99 an hour - Half Time, Days.

20 hours a week.# #+$2.50#for weekend shifts.# Boulder Community health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant. The laboratory support staff at Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) are responsible for processing patient orders including patient relations (adult and pediatric), specimen procurement, specimen processing and transmission of results.

Along with the responsibilities included above are other responsibilities such as customer service, utilization of various computer systems, clerical duties and some technical procedures such as phlebotomy (venipuncture or capillary puncture), drug screen collection and breath alcohol testing.

Six months general hospital experience, or #Graduation from a Medical Assistants program, or #Graduation from a laboratory training program preferred.

Responsibilities : #Responsible for collection and processing of laboratory specimens.# #Able to perform phlebotomy procedures as required by position.

Responsible for accurate data entry and reporting. #Provides excellent customer service. #Performs laboratory testing including reporting of results and quality control in assigned areas of the laboratory.
