Responsibilities :
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the accommodations process and state and federal / country disability laws, responding to general inquiries.
- Provide support and education to employees and leaders on medical and religious accommodations, including returning to work.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on process improvements, projects, and activities to maintain and enhance compliance.
- Partner with Facilities and IT to coordinate purchasing and providing employees with modifying equipment, devices, or materials for accommodating employee needs.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of professional, related experience as an HR generalist / advisor, business partner, or project / program manager in the human resources / benefits discipline.
- Solid knowledge of US and / or Canadian employment practices, including ADA, FMLA, statutory leaves, and disability policies and laws.
- Experience with coaching line managers and peers on HR, benefits, and accommodation processes, supporting them in strengthening their leadership skills.
- Workday experience and / or experience using JIRA or ServiceNow is a plus.
- PHR and / or CPDM certification is a plus
- Knowledge of Canadian employment practices and law.
