This position is responsible for First Financial Bank’s market research, strategy, advertising, promotion, and public relations activities.
The Chief Marketing Officer plays a critical role in driving strategy, partnering with business units to drive growth, managing external creative relationships, and overseeing the full scope of marketing efforts for the Bank.

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration or related field required. Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in marketing for a financial institution or similar organization is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of financial products and services, brand management, profit and loss management, promotions and campaigns, marketing strategies, and ad agency management required.
Knowledge of product planning / development, marketing research, sales forecasting and budget management required. Familiarity with demographic and marketing trend analytics with the ability to recognize and manage social and digital media presence, utilizing television, radio, print, and web-based marketing / advertising mediums.
Demonstrated track record of driving progressive results based on business objectives and customer targets while leveraging social media platforms to build brand awareness.

- Develops short-term and long-term marketing, advertising, and public relations strategies with internal and external business units that will promote all services and products favorably for the financial institution.
- Manages and develops departmental budgets for reaching the financial institution’s marketing goals and objectives. Ensures that the marketing goals and objectives, in consultation with the financial institution’s senior management, are in keeping with institutional policies and procedures.
- Manages relationships with external agencies (i.e., advertising, consultants, etc.) by developing objectives and monitoring timeliness and quality of work.
Ensures high quality and value from external agencies.
- Manages the Bank’s CRM product and produces customer profile information for the marketing of bank products and services.
- Promote and maintain working relationships with the current customer base and other contacts, assisting in the identification of new prospects with marketing and management.
- Evaluates marketing investments to maximize profitability of media dollars by measuring return on investment of all advertising.
- Maintains professional contacts and knowledge base of marketing skills within and outside of the financial institution;
keeps up with issues, trends, and developments of the financial industry to drive priorities for revenue growth.
- Reviews products and services offered by the competition and ensures a positive competitive response by the financial institution determined by current and future marketing trends.
- Researches and manages product ideas and areas for business growth; oversees market research and analysis of the competition.
- Maintains literature, brochures and other marketing materials that list current service charges for customers and ensures the availability of this literature to the general public.
- Reviews and oversees advertising copy and descriptive materials produced for the customer.
- Develops targeted advertising plans for all demographics, monitor and manage social / digital media and websites; manage content providing search engine optimization.
- Submits suggestions and changes to meet the market’s competitive challenge, as necessary; oversees the development and implementation of the marketing strategic plans.
- Manages staff by selecting, training and developing performance.
- Meet management’s expectations in marketing campaigns.
- Development of departmental budgets for reaching the financial institutions marketing goals.
- Maintain professional contacts and keep the financial institution up to date with issues, trends, and developments in the financial industry.
