Job Title : System Administrator for our Data Center

Duration : 12 months
Job Description : As a Strong System Administrator (SysAdmin) for our Data Center, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our data center infrastructure.
You will ensure the smooth operation of our servers, storage systems, and network components. Your role will involve troubleshooting, performance tuning, and implementing security measures to protect our data center environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain data center servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of data center infrastructure.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure data center security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement new system architectures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24 / 7 support for critical data center operations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in a data center environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux / Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS / IPS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, RHCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are a plus.
