The Granule Utility Laborer is responsible for supplying raw materials for the production lines. Keeps track of inventory based on Production Schedule.

The Granule Utility works in various areas of the manufacturing facility and performs a variety of tasks. This position relies heavily on having excellent time managing skills, ability to multi-task, and work independently.

Supervisor Duties

This position has no direct reports.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience is required. At least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

General knowledge of the production process is valuable. Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population.

Must be reliable with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and management staff.

Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, identify problem areas, and take corrective action within a timely manner.

Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under high pressure situations.

Mental and Physical Requirements

• This position performs in a warehouse and factory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the operator is regularly required to stand;
• walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit;

climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Regularly be required to lift and / or move at least 75 pounds.

Occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme hot and cold temperatures, and loud noises. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places;

fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. May be required to differentiate colors and shades of colors.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception. The employee may be required to work outside of normal business hours.
