Structural Apply Job Type Internship Description
Martin / Martin, Inc. is searching for outstanding engineering students to join our Structural Engineering Group as Interns at our Kansas City, Missouri office.
This opportunity will focus mainly on new building structural design, but interns may also have the chance to gain experience in technical research, renovation of existing buildings, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
During a typical work week, interns work on engineering calculations, developing drawings, visiting sites, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and supporting internal technical projects.
Our projects are mainly located in the Kansas City area, but we also extend our support to clients around the nation.

The selected candidate should be willing to learn, work as part of a team, and provide high-quality designs for our clients.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Eager to learn
- High school diploma
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Civil or Architectural Engineering, having completed at least a junior-level program
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Structural engineering-specific experience
- Structural engineering coursework
- Completed Bachelor’s degree
