Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
Providing assistance with :
- Vibracore processing (splitting, photographing, logging, sampling).
- Sieve and carbonate analysis
- Carbonate content analysis.
- GIS analysis and map production.
- Production of geotechnical deliverables (technical reports and appendices).
- Formatting of geoscientific datasets in a GIS environment.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Geology or related field of study
- Geology experience (0-5 years) required.
- Some experience with mechanical sieve analysis
- Some experience processing sediment cores
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Experience with ArcGIS software preferred.
- Able to work collaboratively in a diverse team setting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to complete multiple tasks on an on-going basis by given deadlines.
- Self-motivated, hard-worker capable of working independently and with our multidisciplinary team of professionals and staff.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must possess a clean driving record
