Outside Parts Sales Representative
Norfolk Truck Center, an established truck dealer in Virginia is looking to add an outside parts salesman to our Hampton location.
We are a family-owned establishment, which means we value quality family time while working only Monday Friday,
NO WEEKENDS * Candidate must be dependable, punctual, have a clean driving record and a proven sales ability. Previous experience (preferably 2 years) in heavy-duty parts department is preferred;
but willing to train the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Utilize parts department staff to map our area of conquest and report findings.
- Calls on customers regularly in person and on the phone
- Identifies new opportunities within the current customer base
- Seeks new business and maintains an active list of prospects
- Learns product via online training and in person classes
- Utilizes industry and factory sales representatives to educate customers on specific product lines
- Maintains a customer call log, customer database and creates sales reports using a CRM platform
- Coordinate and communicate customer parts orders with inside sales team
- Work with truck sales department and service department as needed
- Maintain open line of communication with management
- Make parts deliveries and pick up cores as needed
- Maintain company supplied vehicle
- Present dealer programs and products as a tool to provide solutions to customer
- Champion and promote the companies online ordering platform
Qualifications :
- 2 year of experience in truck, equipment or automotive industry
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Outstanding communication skills in person and over the phone
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Must be able to use Microsoft office products and have basic knowledge of computers
- High School Diploma or equivalent
