Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Interaction : Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout their treatment.
• Health History Review : Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ health histories to ensure quality care.
• Hygiene Assistance : Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during various procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act.
• Room Preparation : Set up rooms for all hygiene visits, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
• Patient Scheduling and Record Keeping : Utilize Dentrix for efficient patient scheduling and accurate record-keeping.
• Safety Protocols : Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols, following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Team Collaboration : Partner with providers and the team to follow office systems and maximize office workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Indiana Radiology License, or permit pending licensing
• Working knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
• Experience with a dental software system, such as Dentrix
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required;

and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
