The role youâ€ll contribute :  Employee is hired to complete 6-week medical assistant program and will be required to pass NHA exam.
 This is a partnership with Blue Ridge Community College.

- Provide patient care in the office setting.
- Provide care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
- Provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and / or Physician.
- Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards.
- Ability to assist nursing and medical staff with routine examinations and patient treatments. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
- Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical / health care errors.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youâ€ll need to succeed :
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Must complete 6-week CMA course upon hire through AdventHealth Hendersonville and pass NHA exam at end of course.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. Â
