Our Inova Fairfax Location is looking for an experienced Exercise Physiologist to be a part of a multidisciplinary team to care for patients and develop comprehensive care plans of agreed-upon goals.
Administers or supports diagnostics testing to support diagnosis and treatment plans and participates in a community effort to support chronic disease management.
May include evaluating patient responses to prescribed treatment plans, testing, and procedures and developing ongoing plans.

Schedule : M-F, 8 hour shifts
Job Responsibilities :
- Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
- Reviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans.
- Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
- Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology.
BLS within 6 months of start date. Must be from the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire.
