Position : Proposal Writer
Location : Mclean VPOSITION SUMMARY
The Proposal Writer will support an aggressive effort to identify, research, and prospect new business leads and is responsible for supporting proposal management activities across the company business areas.
The candidate will work directly with the Business Development team in all stages of capture and proposal development.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
Support all phases of proposal developmentSupport efforts to meet requirements for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Indefinite Delivery Quantity Contract (IDIQ) Task Orders (TOs)Develops contracts for services with government agencies and NGOsCoordinates with Business Development teams in conducting research for procurement opportunities with the government agenciesParticipates in strategy sessions led by the Proposal and Business Development team to develop winning approachesOther responsibilities as neededSupporting proposal managers with scheduling and facilitating capture and proposal meetingsAnalyzing solicitations and developing com pliant templates in compliance with client specifications in MS WordTracking solicitations / amendments and ensuring changes to form al requirements are organized and applied to the proposal documentsWriting qualifications to include resumes and project descriptionsInterviewing technical experts to articulate scope relevancy and valueEditing proposals to ensure they are com pliant, consistent, and conciseLeading production and assembly to submit high-quality client deliverablesResponding to and coordinating data call requestsREQUIRED SKILLS
Proficient understanding of Federal Acquisition process,Familiarity with government contracting a plusMust be team-oriented, reliable, dependable, flexible, and highly responsive to internal clients, as well as other members of the teamMust be able to work remotely independently and as part of a dispersed teamAbility to evaluate sources, conduct research, and analyze dataAbility to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities, including willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet client-driven deadlinesExcellent organizational, communications, and time -management skills
