Scientific Games, LLC, a leading provider of lottery industry products and services, is seeking a skilled Proposal Writer for its Global Proposals department in Alpharetta, Georgia.
This position will focus on crafting responses to complex government-issued RFX procurements and other documents for product sales opportunities.
The Sales Proposal Writer will be an essential member of the proposals team, facilitating the development of proposal content and specialized documents.
This role requires strong business writing skills to effectively communicate with subject matter experts within the company and produce high-quality and persuasive written materials.
Job DescriptionDevelop Proposals :
Support all phases of the proposal writing process to create compelling, compliant and tailored content for various proposals.Collaborate with Teams :
Work closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), sales teams and product management teams to develop persuasive bid content that incorporates win themes, strategies and differentiators.Write Persuasively :
Craft clear, persuasive and creative marketing and sales content that inspires action.Simplify Complex Concepts :
Communicate complex and technical concepts through easily understandable written narratives and graphics.Ensure Consistency :
Validate style, message consistency, grammar and terminology of bid content to ensure a unified voice across all written materials.Update Content :
Work with SMEs to keep content current as new products and solutions are introduced or changes are made.Support Visuals :
Collaborate with the graphics team to create and update graphics that support the response narrative.Incorporate Feedback :
Coordinate and participate in color team reviews, incorporating content changes and improvements according to feedback.Manage Tasks :
Update the team on task progression, proactively follow up on content completion, and perform work within specified response and turnaround times.Develop Best Practices :
Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practices, boilerplate material, templates and style guides.Utilize Tools :
Leverage SharePoint for collaboration, document control and upkeep of boilerplate and other proposal library materials.Improve Processes :

Developing individual contributor.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field.
3 to 6 years of experience in proposal writing, business writing, marketing or technical writing in a sales environment. Proposal writing experience preferred.
Familiarity with government RFX procurement processes is preferred.Ability to transform complex ideas into easy-to-understand, well-organized written content.
Strong command of English language structure, readability, spelling, grammar and consistency of voice.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills with precise attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage projects from beginning to end.
Excellent research and information gathering skills.Ability to form successful relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
Interest in learning the technical aspects of company and industry products and services.Ability to vary working schedule and hours to meet deadlines as needed.
