Responsibilities :
- As a hands-on Software Development Manager for a team of 6-7 Software Engineers, your duties will be split between technical leadership / management (85%) and hands-on coding (15%).
- Plan, direct, and manage the work of technical teams and the development life cycle for projects and software products.
- Perform Technical Lead duties for the team, including resource and capacity planning, architecture and system design, driving improvements in software engineering practices, providing technical guidance, etc.
- Remove blockers and impediments to enable the team to successfully complete work.
- Facilitate estimates of project requests, define project scopes, and set delivery schedules and timelines to successfully deliver applications and solutions on time and on budget.
- Mentor developers and perform code reviews on a regular basis.
- Provide coaching and support the career growth of developers through 1-on-1 meetings and performance reviews.
- Work with other Development Managers, Architects, Software Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to solve complex business problems.
Required Qualifications :
- 8+ years of hands-on Software Engineering experience, with 2+ years of leadership experience working as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, Development Manager, or similar role.
- Experience with various software architectures including but not limited to, service-oriented architecture, and message-driven architecture, event-driven architecture, microservices, etc.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack web applications.
- Backend development experience with any combination of the following : C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Node.js, Nest.jsWeb API, RESTful API, SOAP, GraphQL, Open API SQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or similar
- Front-End development experience with any combination of the following : JavaScript / TypeScriptAngular, Vue.js, React.js, Next.js
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and / or Azure cloud platforms and technologies
- Hands-On experience with CI / CD and DevOps
- Experience in an automated testing environment
Desired (not required) Qualifications :
Experience with Python and familiarity with AI and Machine Learning toolkits
