Position Summary

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will be a Technical Subject Matter Expert / Individual Contributor accountable for expertise and solution concept creation in the areas of cloud identity access management and authentication methods.

This role will contribute to the Enterprise Cloud Tool Enablement and Strategy team with onboarding various data consumption and business intelligence tools into Google Cloud.

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will :

  • Provide expertise on tool access and authentication components as part of overall cloud tool enablement efforts.
  • Create and propose cloud engineering solution concepts related to cloud tool enablement which cover Google Cloud access and authentication best practices.
  • Be an expert in Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure Cloud with regard to access and authentication capabilities.
  • Partner and work with the enterprise cloud engineering, IAM, and Authentication groups to ensure proposed solutions meet existing policy requirements and best practices.
  • Keep up to date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's cloud tool ecosystem.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+years of experience in Cloud Engineering, preferably in a senior capacity with expertise in Identity Access Management and Authentication mechanisms.
  • 3+ years’ Experience working in public cloud environments, Google Cloud Platform / Azure and containerization technologies (e.

g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Associate or Professional Certification
  • Expert knowledge of IAM and Authentication best practices in Google Cloud including between cloud tool vendors and public clouds.
  • Strong understanding of best practices and available methods related to IAM, Authentication, and connectivity interplay within GCP and across public clouds.
  • Ability to create clear and concise solution concept diagrams which are easy to communicate and understand.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide cutting edge cloud engineering solutions for cloud tools.
  • Excellent general communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, data science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$83,430.00 - $201,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
