Akkodis is seeking a Software Test Engineer with a client located in Syracuse, NY. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science to be considered.
Will participate in cross functional review of product software design and requirements for correctness, completeness, and testability.
Will follow established quality processes and procedures.
Pay / Salary Range $$25-$30hr.
Software Test Engineer job responsibilities include :
- Serve as a member of Software Test Team with responsibility for software testing of products developed by R&D.
- Participate in the development of software testing of medical devices and host applications.
- Develop test cases and protocols from requirements / design documentation and execute the protocols against established baselines.
- Set up test environments. Install software and set up networks and other hardware, simulators, etc.
- Perform ad hoc testing of medical devices and applications.
- Communicate / Document anomalies / issues.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required.
- Minimum Two years related experience.
- Experience with strong troubleshooting skills, an inquisitive nature and the discipline to codify test methods into protocols.
- Strong written and verbal skills required,
- Must work on site at facility five days a week.
