Responsibilities :
- Set a clear vision and goals for the service department.
- Oversee the hiring and performance of techs, tire techs, detailers, and administrative support.
- Ensure staff is properly trained and proficient in their duties; communicate expectations. including quality of work and measured goals.
- Maintain quality of cars and repairs while keeping average recon costs within set limits.
- Generate Repair Orders with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Oversee the installation and testing of GPS in each car.
- Ensure all invoices are submitted to accounting in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe facility that is compliant with KPA, OSHA, EPA and all other relevant federal, state, and local standards.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 5 years of automotive management experience, preferred.
- Proven ability to attract, develop and retain great talent.
- Knowledge of the system CDK and the online platform ADP.
- Ability to process a steady volume of inventory (volume should be around 120 cars per work).
- Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong verbal / written communication skills.
