Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the Project Manager for the assigned shift of the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.
Responsibilities include serving as the supervisor for the CSOs at a facility. Will conduct shift in / out briefings. Serve as the immediate POC for contract security officers and first-level liaison between Government and CSOs.
Captain will ensure a supervisor is present for each building / location on all shifts.
Essential Functions
Have the authority to act for the Contractor daily at PFPA worksites.
Responsible for ensuring the following :
- CSOs are in proper uniform before performing duties on this contract.
- Supervisor post-observation of CSOs on duty.
- Conducting on-the-spot checks of posts.
- Interfacing with employees and the public in resolving problems; and other supervisory duties as defined in the contract.
- Responsible for one 8-hour shift and shall ensure all CSOs perform their duties and responsibilities as required under the contract.
- Responsible to provide orientation and on-the-job training to all CSOs, and ensuring the CSOs understand and perform their duties and responsibilities under the terms of the contract.
- Be able to maintain and operate the electronic security systems and train subordinates to properly operate the system when required.
- May perform other related duties as assigned by a Project Manager.
Candidate Qualifications :
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must Be 21 years of age
Must be a high school / GED graduate
Minimum five years of law enforcement / security officer experience showing a successful history of increasing levels of responsibility.
Must possess a clearance level of Top Secret issued by the U.S. Department of Defense
Armed DCJS License
Additional Eligibility Qualifications :
The applicant must submit to a pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).
The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Physical Agility Test (PAT).
The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Firearms Qualification (FAQ).
