Lakeville Areas Schools seeks a creative, adaptive individuals to join our Kid Zone team! We are looking for an experienced Instructor to support elementary-aged children with disabilities in our before and after-school programs.
Our school district values innovation and collaboration and is highly sought after by families and staff. Job responsibilities include : Manages day-to-day onsite operations including the monitoring and ordering of classroom supplies.
Supervises Kid Zone Assistants and Special Education Paraprofessionals. Communicate effectively with parents / guardians daily to ensure child success.
Assists with and executes program-specific assessments, evaluations, and surveys with participants, parents, and staff. Works directly with large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings, such as classroom, cafeteria, gym, playground, and while on field trips.
Develops and implements age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences using various technology tools and adapts curriculum to meet the individual needs of students in the program.
Communicates the Kid Zone program mission and vision, as well as implements goals and objectives that are supportive of the department and district missions, visions, and strategic plans.
Delivers a high standard of customer service including serving as the primary contact for program-specific needs, problem solving, conflict resolution, and making accommodations for all participants.
Pay and schedule : $23.21 - $26.42 per hour depending on experience (Subject to change with the completion of the 2023 - 2025 Non-Licensed Instructors Agreement) Non-Licensed Instructors Contract 3 hours per day / Monday - Friday, 15 hours per week Open to occasional adjustments in work schedule.
