ABOUT THE ROLE :
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our team at our Rockville, MD office. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing your expertise to a variety of engineering projects and ensure project success.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform structural calculations to assess project feasibility and safety.
- Conduct in-depth structural analysis to determine the integrity and stability of various structures.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop accurate and detailed engineering designs.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and construction documentation.
- Provide engineering support during the construction phase, addressing issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to deliver successful project outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Strong foundation in structural engineering, including calculations and analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing and drafting structural plans.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
