JOB SUMMARY
The Software Engineer who work at Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) gain direct exposure to the entire Microsoft stack;
this includes cutting edge SaaS / Cloud technologies. Our relationships with key cloud vendors ensure that staff are exposed to industry best practices, the latest development tools and ground-breaking new delivery mechanisms.
Our team plays a major role in shaping and supporting CDCN's enterprise class internal business applications as well as our customer facing application and portals.
As a Production Support Specialist, you will provide production support to ensure operational activities for CDCN are complete timely and accurately.
This will include triaging and elaborating issues / defects for different audiences including Quality Assurance testing, different Development teams, and various business stakeholders.
It will also be in your purview to create and perform system health checks, along with monitoring for new system-generated events.
Additionally the Production Support Specialist will help the Development teams implement new software solutions by providing technical and / or business expertise of a subject area.
JOB DUTIES
- Provide Dev Ops release support, assist with automation and CI / CD.
- Evaluate and triage a variety of incoming system defects, in business areas you both have seen before and have not seen before.
- Explain incoming system defects to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
- Create and perform health checks on the system that require an understanding of end-to-end business and technical flows.
- Become a business / technical expert over a specific business area, so assistance can be provided to the Development teams when the specific area is being changed.
- Monitor solutions for cloud infrastructure and software components on the Azure platform, including : Functions Apps Service Bus topology SQL Server & HyperSQL Cosmos noSQL Kubernetes App Services Deployment Pipelines Logic Apps Data Factory
- Elaborate a pre-built database design model.
- Ensure cross-platform optimization, responsiveness and reliability of applications.
- Supervise changes to business areas from conception to deployed product.
- Meet both technical and consumer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science preferred, but not required
- Leadership experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with an SDLC tool such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Experience with database technology MSSQL preferred and NoSQL such as Cosmos or PostgreSQL a plus
- Experience with source control such as GIT a plus
- Experience with deployment pipelines (Azure, AWS CI / CD) a plus
- Experience with server less, cloud architecture a plus (Azure Function Apps, AWS Lambdas) a plus
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible and / or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements
