- Administer PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by a physician.- Consult with medical personnel to provide expert information about chemotherapy and its side effects.
- Assume responsibility for clinic specific assignments.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians during conscious sedation procedures and minor diagnostic treatments.- Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver competent patient care, engaging with family and patients to share care plans during clinic visits, discharge, and follow-up via phone triage.
- Provide patient education related to chemotherapy and answer inquiries.- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and schedule patient follow-up activities.- Perform additional duties as assigned.
