Randstad is currently seeing Industrial Electrical Technicians to work on Industrial Equipment, Troubleshoot & Program PLC's, and any other requirements of an Electrical Technician on various shifts for our clients in the greater St. Louis area.

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in an industrial setting.

This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety practices, as well as the ability to work with various electrical equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Work with other team members to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
• Valid electrician’s license.
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician.
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 3-5 Years of Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and other control systems.
• Additional certifications related to electrical work.
