1st Choice Delivery is looking for an ambitious Divisional Manager in the Great Lakes Central Area to oversee the daily operations of the Great Lakes Central Area for our growing customer base of Fortune 500 clients.
Your primary focus will be to supervise personnel, plan the division's budget, provide advice, and conflict resolution management to personnel, and maintaining the division's standard and quality of work to ensure successful implementation of company mission statement to, Delivering to the Right Place at the Right Time in the Right Way.
The proper candidate must be meticulous with an initiative-taking focus on best practices, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Significant transportation industry experience or related experience is a major requirement.
Divisional Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively builds a network within the transportation community and utilizes cost effective resources
- Setting Goals, Developing Strategies, and Coordinating Operations within the Division and throughout the Company
- Provides ongoing guidance and development of employee and IC base focused on retention
- Provide guidance, as well as resolve driver issues, acting as a liaison between drivers and management focusing on retention
- Partner with terminal manager to ensure best practice and standard operating procedure implementation that align with company goals and objective
- Travel to terminals and sheds to conduct procedure audits to ensure compliance
