Job Summary
The Director of Sales will lead strategy, execution, and relationships for a portfolio of high-value and high-complexity clients for Empire's Center Store business.
This role will have direct supervision of Corporate Sales Managers supporting this portfolio and will facilitate their professional development.
The Director of Sales will work closely with the Vice President to develop channel strategy, including identifying opportunities with accounts and leading the selling efforts with these customers.
Job Duties
The Director of Sales responsibilities are not limited to but include managing client relationships and building and developing our clients’ product sales within Kroger.
The Director of Center Store will demonstrate a deep understanding of client & Kroger priorities and mobilize plans and resources to execute against them.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships at all levels, including Sr. Leadership, within the client organization and Kroger to drive mutual business growth.
- Leadership and management of the Strategic Accounts Corporate Sales Manager positions.
- Prioritize, delegate, and support CSM workload through detailed communication and action plans.
- Provide insights to identify sales opportunities, drive performance, and celebrate success.
- Summarize and communicate Empire body of work consistently to Client contacts, Kroger organization, and leadership in order to sell the business.
- Work with CSMs to provide oversight of Client priorities and project management needs.
- Collaborate with CSM’s and VP’s across accounts to identify shared sales opportunities and best practices.
- Develop and optimize tools, resources, and processes to create efficiencies within the organization.
- Ensure client contract compliance as well as supporting contract termination and renewal negotiations.
- Understand and support Empire Retail Division Teams’ workload to properly align with client priorities.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
