Job Title : DesignerAssociate

Location : Laredo TX78043 (Hybrid)

Duration : 12months

Note :

Will be in the office 5 days a week for training and thenhybrid.

PositionSummary :

• Perform dailywork activities with direct to moderate supervision.
• Work activities to be performed include computer aideddrafting to prepare maps sketches schematics and other engineeringrelated drawings.
• The position includesassociated clerical work to effectively manage and document thework activities performed as per requirements for theposition.

Specific DutiesInclude :

• Create revise andmaintain engineering and record drawings and sketches.
• Support the creation revision and maintenance offacilities and equipment documents; including but not limited toconstruction equipment property documents and records.
• Obtain information required to perform work from verbalcommunication sketches marked drawings listings field notes vendorscatalogs and technical reference manuals and sitevisits.
• Perform mathematical calculationsrequired to accomplish assigned work.
• Proficiency in the use of computer aided designsoftware.
• Proficiency in the use of MicrosoftOffice software.
• Work with other organizationsof the Company to coordinate the work and ensure that it isperformed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Readvendors prints shop and other drawings and equipment operatinginstructions and incorporate that information into the work beingperformed.
• Assist in training employees inbasic skills of the position.
• Promote andsupport the Companys Accident Prevention and Safety and Healthprograms.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior asoutlined in the corporate policies.
• Supportthe Corporate Compliance policies.
• Assumeother duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Duties asRequired :

• Must beavailable to work overtime callout overtime and shift work asrequired.
• The physical demand level isSedentary.
• Must be familiar with conventionaldrafting symbols and drafting methods and can distinguishcolors.
• Must be able to operate a motorvehicle and possess and maintain a valid state driverslicense.
• Must meet all vehicle operationrequirements as designated by federal and / or state law.

Education / Experiencerequirements :

• Associatedegree in applied science (AAS) drafting and computer aided design(CAD) or in civil electrical or mechanical engineering technologyor relevant equivalent experience and / or education.
• Work Experience : Equivalent experience without AAS degreehigh school graduate and 4 years of experience in electric utilityand / or related industrial drafting and / or computer aided draftingwork.
