What is the position
Military OneSource Field Consultant Region Leads provide supervision over the day-to-day operations of 15 to 20 geographically distributed Military OneSource Field Consultants assigned to work within a designated region.
In addition to management of the Field Consultants, Regional Leads are responsible for assisting in data collection and synthesis of service needs and gaps, supporting the establishment of internal standard operating procedures and workflows, assisting with program-level reporting and deliverable development, and interfacing directly with regional and local leaders to advocate for support to military beneficiaries.
What will I get to do?
Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Provide supervision, training, mentoring, and practical support to assigned Field Consultants, including hiring, onboarding, management, and problem resolution
Plan and execute regular meetings with supervisees to coordinate activities, identify lessons learned, and continuously improve service delivery
Support the development of government required deliverables to include analyzing data for inclusion and compiling inputs from assigned Field Consultants
Ensure Field Consultants adhere to internal requirements to include developing outreach engagement plans, submitting travel and after-action reports, and updating internal reporting tools and mechanisms
Travel throughout assigned region, as directed and approved by DoD, to assess and document needs of military families, identify recommendations to address service gaps, and form relationships with community service providers, military services, and regional and local representatives
Support on-demand events, as directed and approved by the government, to include staffing exhibit booths, providing briefings and trainings, facilitating referrals, building coalitions that connect Federal, state, and local resources and non-profit organizations, and answering questions about the Military OneSource Program
Submit orders for educational materials (e.g., DVDs, marketing materials, service guides, toolkits, etc.)
What qualifications do I need?
Qualifications required for this position include :
US Citizen and fluent English speaker
Reside within 50 miles of a Major Military Installation within the state of Texas
Possess strong customer service skills, knowledge of call center operations, and knowledge and understanding of the military lifestyle
Hold a four-year college degree (or equivalent work experience)
Possess at least 4 years prior military experience as an active duty, National Guard, or Reserve member (or as a spouse of a member) or relevant civilian experience and knowledge of Military Services programs (military departments and family service-type programs)
Possess an additional 10 years of work experience, to include at least 3 years in a supervisory role, consisting of some combination of military service and marketing, sales, recruiting, education, or other similar networking-intensive work
Willingness to travel up to 80% within assigned geographical region.
Must undergo criminal history and fingerprint check meeting at least the requirements of DODI 1402.05
Successfully pass a DoD-initiated Tier 2 (Low-Risk) Suitability Investigation.
