Position Summary
The Speech Program at William & Mary is recruiting a pool of persons for possible part-time Speech Practitioner adjunct positions.
This pool will be accessed when an opening arises. Speech Practitioners will teach working group sessions of the Practitioner Program speech class, which bring students into contact with experienced professionals with expertise in communication. Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree or equivalent experience and qualifications is required.
- Subject matter expertise as evidenced in CV and additional materials.
- Advanced understanding of oral communication skills within their field of expertise, including presentation, speaking, negotiating, interviewing, conflict resolution, feedback and evaluation, and interpersonal communication.
- Significant experience teaching, coaching, training, and evaluating a diverse population of communicators in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years teaching in a college or university setting.
- At least ten years full time work in a professional setting in lieu of an advanced degree.
