The Assistant Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of all areas assigned by the Store Manager and follows policies in regard to Customers, Associates, and merchandising.
Responsible for learning all phases of Store operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the entire operation of the Store to ensure that Company standards and best practices are consistently met.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintaining the Guest Experience and store environment to Erin Condren standards and represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Assists in the analysis of Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance.
- Communicates any variances to Company standards to the Store Manager.
- Ensures proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
- Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Ensures scheduling and completion of all Associate cleaning tasks throughout the store, including restrooms.
- Maintains adherence to Company safety policies and ensures the safety of Associates and Customers.
- Treats all Customers, Associates, and other leaders with respect.
- Supervises and coaches Retail Associates in providing efficient and friendly service at the registers, Customer Service desk, sales floor, etc.
- Assisting in new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Ensures merchandise is presented and organized according to Company merchandising guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Must possess a high level of ethics and integrity.
- Must be punctual.
- Knowledge of retail POS systems
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Maintain high quality of Customer service.
- Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Slack).
- Must be able to tolerate working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed processes.
- Must be able to work flexible hours depending on business demands to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and approved overtime.
Preferred
- 2+ Years experience of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Can perform basic mechanical applications.
- Analytical Skills.
- Problem solving skills.
Education
High School Diploma, GED. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.
