Job Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Planning / Management professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, strategic planning, and market analysis within the powersports industry.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with market demands and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Planning :

  • Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps that align with company goals and market trends.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Define product vision, positioning, and value proposition.

Product Development :

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and launch of new products.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure products meet quality, performance, and cost targets.
  • Manage product specifications, requirements, and timelines.

Market Analysis And Research :

  • Conduct ongoing market and consumer research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from dealers, customers, and industry events.
  • Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to product strategy.

Product Lifecycle Management :

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through end-of-life.
  • Monitor product performance and profitability.
  • Implement strategies for product improvements, cost reductions, and obsolescence.

Stakeholder Management :

  • Communicate product plans, progress, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between product development and business objectives.

Financial And Performance Metrics :

  • Develop and manage product budgets and forecasts.
  • Track and report on product performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure products meet financial targets and contribute to overall company profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in product planning / management within the powersports industry.
  • Strong understanding of powersports products and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
