Database Administrator, Mid

Key Role :

Maintain responsibility for implementing and maintaining one or more complex databases. Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, analysis of the development of standards, design and test plans, code, module design development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques, and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution.

Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases. Monitor performance, scalability, and security and evaluate existing database design to determine the necessary updates and integration requirements of a new design to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Experience with Oracle DB including versions 8.x - 12C
  • Experience with code reviews on SQL change sets and working with developers to create and enforce best practices
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications :

  • Experience with Production support operations
  • Experience with database partitioning, analyzing, and tuning queries to improve performance
  • Experience with ETL and Data Warehousing methods
  • Experience with Replication technologies, including AWS DMS or Oracle Goldengate
  • Experience with configuring, integrating, and securing database offerings, including Oracle, RDS, Aurora, Casandra, and Dynamo

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
