Grand Ave - Store Associate Liquor

Description
Applicants for this position must possess a thorough, in-depth knowledge of the liquor category. A passion for specialty spirits is required along with superior customer service skills to drive sales within a specific department.
Responsibilities :
- Works as part of a team to keep the spirits department and store organized and effectively merchandised; this includes ordering, moving, stocking and staging product.
- Assists in developing sales and provides exemplary customer service to all our guests.
- Continues to develop knowledge of spirits and other store products.
- Consistent and regular attendance. Works hours as scheduled.
- May be required to assist in other departments.
Qualifications :
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
- Ability to count cash and make change accurately.
- Ability to operate business machines (scanners, computer keyboards, etc.).
- Ability to pass any applicable alcohol training class and maintain a current certification card.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Ability to read small type.
- Ability to stand and / or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to repeatedly walk up and down stairs.
- Ability to work in cold areas.
- Must be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of liquor and its categories (i.e. whiskeys, vodkas, brandies, etc.)
- Ability to attend tasting events and sample product to better assist customers with their selections.
- We have openings for both part-time and full-time Liquor Associates
- Pay range is $16.75-$18.00+ based on availability and experience
