Responsibilities Lifeguard - PT Opportunity (Sun-Sat 9a-4p- Rotating weekends) West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades.
Our -bed acute care facility is fully accredited and included a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency.
We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.
We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage.

The Lifgegaurd primary responsibility is to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring. The Lifeguard must be able to ensure the safety of patients by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.
The Lifeguard must be able to enforce and communicate pool policies. Job Duties / Responsibilities Supervises swimming activities at the West Oaks pool and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies. Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and / or artificial respiration, if necessary Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates emergency action plan as required.

Licensure / Certification : Required : Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate, or equivalent. American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent American Red Cross Standard First Aid, or equivalent.
Experience : Required. Minimum of 6 months of lifeguard experience
