Pastry Cook
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable pastry cook for dinner service. This position will
work with the Pastry Chef in some production and plating dinner service. The pay range is $18 -
$20 per hour based on experience
Your Responsibilities :
works assigned production tasks and oversees pastry service station and works night
time service
assist in the production of ala carte and banquet desserts
communicate any needs in an appropriate time frame to the pastry chef
ensure quality standards set by the chef
keep pastry service station clean and desserts fresh and at appropriate temperatures
Your Qualifications :
minimum 1-2 years of professional cooking experience in an upscale or fine dining
establishment
minimum 1 year basic pastry skills (cookies, custards, tarts, basic cakes and quick
breads)
high school diploma or equivalent (must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
units of measure)
be able to read, write and speak clear english
must be motivated and organized with good communication skills
ability to work with standard recipes and plate presentation to ensure quality of dessert
items
must be able to take direction and also work independently
must be able to work well under pressure and have a sense of urgency
currently authorized to work in the United States
have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements :
standing / walking for 8 10 hours a day
ability to perform in extreme temperature ranges
must be able to lift 50 pounds
possess sufficient dexterity to use all kitchen equipment
must be able to bend, stoop, push and lift
