Job Title : Server
Status : Hourly
Reports To : Director of Food and Beverage
Purpose : R esponsible for bringing food and beverages to dine-in customers seated in their section. D uties include writing down and submitting special food needs to the kitchen , taking drink orders and submitting them to the bar, and bringing out correct dishes and beverages to each diner.
Position Responsibilities :
- Write down and submit drink orders accurately.
- Deliver food in a timely manner assuring temperatures are correct and food is plated according to standard consistency.
- Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure special dietary needs are met.
- M emorize the correct standard menu as well as vegan and gluten free menus
- Clear and sanitize tables and bus all items to kitchen
- Keep section clean and dry at all times
- Reset tables as directed making certain that all condiment containers are full and fresh
- Ensure all plateware, cooking utensils, condiments, table s, and chair surfaces are cleaned and prepped properly
- Accomplish tasks as scheduled
- Report any damaged items and equipment malfunctions promptly to direct supervisor
- May empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown boxes
Position Requirements :
- Prior experience in a food-serving establishment preferred
- Safe Serve certification & WI ABC card preferred . If no card and certification, course will have to be completed on property before starting work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; highly developed interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred
- Proficient working knowledge of computers, smart phones, and apps
- High level of stamina
- Works with integrity, ethics, and honesty. Clearly distinguishes between right and wrong.

- Maintain excellent a ppearance, hygiene, and dress
Education / Experience :
- High school diploma or associate degree in culinary studies or food and hospitality management preferred
- Previous experience as a server preferred but not required .
- Able to work independently ; shows initiative.
Essential Functions :
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus .
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands dexterously and talk and hear .
The employee is occasionally required to climb and descend stairs, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch .
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 3 0 pounds on their own. This position requires continuous ability to remember information and verbally communicate clearly.
