Job Title : Therapeutic Clinical Therapist Location : Eagle Butte, SD 57625, USA Duties : Provide ongoing therapy to special education students currently in treatment as identified by their Individual Education Plan (IEP) Provide suicide risk assessments as designated by School Supervisor and / or Principals Assist with behavioral evaluations of at-risk students To provide 4-5 days of service per week to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School and 1 Optional day if needed.
Consultation with the school’s problem solving teams as requested by the Special Education Coordinator / School Supervisor / Principals Provide prompt completion and delivery of services and or evaluations Provide crisis intervention when requested at all levels with each school.
Conduct family therapy sessions as needed or when requested by special education o r g e n e r a l e d u c a t i o n student's family.
Consult with Administration and school personnel on student issues / concerns. Provide on-site training to school staff and / or parents on topics related to area of expertise upon request from Special Education Coordinator / School Supervisor.
Willing to attend and participate in trainings and workshops requested by Special Education Coordinator / School Supervisor, pending schedule and availability.
Provide one-to-one therapy sessions to students. Draft / implement a daily schedule; provide copy to School Supervisor / Principals / Special Education Coordinator Make leave requests to the School Supervisor and notify Special Education Coordinator / Building Principals.
Education & Qualifications : Certified counselor and / or clinical therapist from the State of South Dakota. Master’s Degree as a School Counselor / Clinical Therapist / Psychologist from an accredited university.
should have a minimum of (1) year of experience. The Candidate is well versed in the State of South Dakota and Federal Special Education laws, rules, regulations, and eligibility requirements.
The Candidate must have experience working in reservation schools and / or working with Native American students. Experience in a school setting could be either as a counselor, social worker or clinical therapist. Powered by JazzHR
