Dakota Traffic Services and Traffic Solutions, LLC. provide traffic control and pavement markings on roads and parking lots.

We have locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and South Dakota. This position will be in person at either our Harrisburg or Tea, South Dakota office .
This position will be required to travel to our locations and remote field operations as needed.
This position will have a dual purpose of managing the company's Human Resources and Safety functions.
HR Responsibilities :
- Maintain and create job descriptions
- Maintain employee files (scanned)
- Assist in recruiting
- Onboard new hires
- Coordinate termination communication / paperwork
- Supports EEO and / or Affirmative Action reporting and training requirements.
- Conducts, coordinate and track annual mandatory training
- Coordinates annual review process
- Manages employee recognition program
- Distribute and communicate annual benefit open enrollment information and confirm completion by all employees.
- Act as primary employee contact regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Manages employee relation concerns
- Assist in coordinating office events .
Safety Responsibilities :
- Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental plans.
- Identify and evaluate hazards (risks) and implement effective controls (corrective solutions).
- Manage the incident investigation process, including on site corrective actions, communication with RSS regarding initial incident and claim progress and communicate with insurance carrier regarding initial claim and ongoing documentation.
- Manage Random and Post Accident Dot / Non-DOT Drug testing
- Manage DOT compliance, driver files (Supervision program), training and update necessary
- HOS management and ELD compliance
- Manage PPE inventory and compliance enforcement.
- Ensure OSHA compliant at facility and on jobsites.
- Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures.
- Support new hire employee onboarding process by leading and completing required safety training items.
Experience / Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years field operations Human Resource and Safety Experience
- Experience with occupational safety, transportation safety, and environmental compliance.
- Certification in Construction Health and Safety or Certified Safety Manager-Construction is preferred.
