Summary Statement : The Apprentice Bartender is responsible for servicing the guests in a courteous and professional manner, while assisting bartenders throughout the course of business.
This role ensures bar areas are always cleaned, organized and properly stocked with prepped ingredients. Primary Job Duties : Includes but is not limited to : Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies necessary for service. Replenish ice coolers, garnish trays, straws, and napkins holders.
Ensure bar equipment and supplies are clean and in working order. Assist with inventories and requisitions to restock bar items.
Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including quickly responding to spills and other health and safety hazards Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment. Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and personal hygiene.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
Participate in in-house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns and advertising and perform model / presenter tasks.
Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue.
Use personal device / cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Includes but is not limited to : Basic understanding of bartender work and / or drink preparation. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred : At least 6 months of previous experience working in a similar bar or restaurant setting. Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience : At least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent. Certificates, Licenses, Regulations : Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
