About this Position

The Associate will serve as an advocate on legislative and regulatory policy impacting Primerica, with a focus on insurance, investments, housing, tax, corporate governance and other financial services issues.

The Associate will also work on public affairs projects involving communications as well as the company's grassroots activities and other projects, as needed.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Federal Government Relations.

This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in our DC office 3 days a week and remotely 2 days each week.

The estimated salary range for this role is : $90-$115K

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage Political Action Committee (PAC) strategy, fundraising, and compliance activities. Plan and attend events related to PAC strategy;
• Develop strategic relationships with elected officials, congressional staff, regulators, industry, and trade association stakeholders;
• Represent the company before policymakers and within trade association groups;
• Manage grassroots and other related projects with internal and external affairs teams
• Research, analyze and communicate (written and verbal) relevant legislative and regulatory risks and opportunities to the corporate team;
• Develop, present, and implement advocacy strategies, tactics and materials

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree and J.D. preferred
• 2-3 years' experience in legislative, government affairs, and / or financial services industry. Federal congressional or executive branch experience preferred but not required.
• Financial services policy, regulatory understanding and lobbying interest preferred
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and policy research skills
